The evidence of fall has begun to appear all around us, with leave crunching underfoot, a chill in the air, and the headless horseman appearing around every corner!

Fortunately, we have enough yarn for even headless necks, come on in and check out the new fall yarns!

Baby Alpaca - 511 - Red
$15.00

Sport Weight 100% Alpaca

Imagine 26 little jewels all on the same shelf. That's what you see in our store when looking at Blue Sky Sport Weight Alpaca. 100% pure alpaca combined with the richness of each individual color make this yarn most delectable. Many projects have been created from this beautiful fiber. Kevin crocheted a gorgeous scarf using three colors and what a clever boy to realize that Granny squares could be so hip if crocheted with alpaca! Elise got jealous and is now knitting herself a ruana in this most amazing shade of chartruese. And just in case Kevin thinks she's forgotten, Elise has a small basket filled with his favorite color, fucshia, ready to be knit into that sweater she's always promised him.

Here at Flying Fingers, we are a woman and family owned and operated yarn shop.

We strive to offer the best and most interesting yarns the world has to offer, and primarily focus on natural fibers, including wool, cotton, silk, alpaca, cashmere, soy and bamboo.

Flying Fingers grew out of Elise's passion to knit, which started when she was taught fiber arts by her Mother all the way back in 1963.  Elise was always making knit items for her kids, and when they grew out of the cute sizes, she then began designing and hand knitting sweaters, hats, and accessories which she sold at craft fairs across NYC and the tristate area, and Flying Fingers was born.  It was a natural progression into a space where she could teach people her craft, the retail and classroom space opened in 2003. Shortly thereafter, we opened our web shop, and invited people across the country and the globe to be a part of our knitting family.
