Flying Fingers

We would like to wish all of you the happiest of happy Thanksgivings with your friends and families. When Elise and her family gathers to carve the turkey, she is reminded how grateful she is to have such a nice large group of people to love, cherish and... knit for! In the spirit of giving thanks, we at Flying Fingers would like to thank all of you out there for your continued patronage by offering 20% OFF on all items online through this 'Black Friday' weekend on our web shop. Just enter the code "BLACKFRIDAY" in the coupon box when you check out.

Locals, we will be continuing our tradition of offering 20% off all BLACK YARNS in our Main Street shop. Because you know Dillon never can have enough of a good pun, even during the holidays!

Happy Knitting!
It's a cold and wet day here at Flying Fingers on the first day of November. Its so uninviting out, that even our most die hard (dye hard?) cotton fans are thinking wool. And what warm wool there is to think of!

Predicting this cold snap earlier in the week (or at least letting the local weather reporter predict...), Dillon set out to make this week's Project of the Week, Dillon's Mistake Rib Hat! This fun, fluffy, and fabulous hat is just the thing for the cold, wet days ahead this winter. Knit on US# 13 needles, it can be done faster than you can say "Dillon should stop naming all of his POTW's after himself, I wonder why Tina and Elise and all of the other Flying Fingers designers don't seem to do that, he must really love his name" Repeat that once, and by gosh, you will have a finished hat!

Happy Knitting!

We are very excited to anounce that Dillon has a knitted sculpture in the show "Strut: The Peacock and Beauty in Art" at the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers, NY.

For all our local and visiting friends, we suggest you go check out his life size knit peacocks!

The Yarn Bus™
What is the Yarn Bus?

What is the Yarn Bus?  ®
Simple! We want to see you!
It's our way of giving you a free ride from New York City to our Westchester shop!
It runs on weekends (and other times and places by special arrangement).

Our shop is half an hour north of Manhattan, so a 3½ hour adventure gets you up here from one of our convenient stops in Manhattan, gives you ample time for shopping and browsing, and then gets you back to your stop in the city again. All while having a great time—just ask any of our hundreds of happy riders!

The bus is always free! It's so easy to sign up, with just a quick e-mail or call. The great thing is that since the bus runs so often, we almost never say no, even if you're reserving late in the week.

Come up this weekend. It's great with friends or just treat yourself.

How to ride the bus:

You have to get your free reservation. Send us the e-mail with what you want. We send you back the reservation. You show up for the bus. That's it. It's that simple.
